Motivated to purpose is the best way for me to describe my current situation. Today’s Motivation Monday is dedicated to all of us who are on a journey to walk in our purpose! Purpose is what helps to define who I am. Its honestly what drives me from day to day. From my business, my brand, my style, my fashion even how I respond to people and things. Now if you would have caught my a few years back…well we give God all the praise and honor! Nevertheless, when you grow and allow yourself to be vulnerable to your mission in life, you no longer want to associate yourself with anything but what your purposed to do.
The term “hater” is one that is used quite often especially our generation. I myself use to think of people who disagreed with my standpoint or my views as a hater. Even more so those that had not reason to like me at all without a reason as a hater. As I begin to further search into my purpose I realized what mission in life is. Its to empower, inspire and cultivate individuals, therefore II had to stop worrying about who was “hating” on me. I became selfish about me more and my purpose or also known as my “hustle”. Besides I had to remind myself of one of my top scriptures when things get a little hectic: ” Thou preparest a table before m in the presence of mine enemies”. So to further encourage myself, I would remind myself of how to function with my enemies because my table is never fully prepared unless I can operate and fully and sit at the table with the enemy or hater!
Living a life that is truly gratifying comes by being happy with who and what you are destined to be. Many asked how do I know what my purpose is. This is definitely a detail question that most times require more thought and someone to help you to discover who you are. However, here are a three ways that you can stay motivated towards your purpose:
1.Decided what you are going to focus your time on: “Don’t worry about it” or “Don’t respond” is a transparent real thing that I have struggled with and still sometimes struggle. When you start walking in your purpose and you find yourself elevating, you will begin to find many attacks forming, many setback and probably many problematic issues that arrive. 95% of the time it is best not to worry about it and definitely not respond. The best response that I have been able to give to things that bring negative focus is my the success directly related to my hustle. When you decided to put more focus on anything other than what brings your happiness your further delay your purpose. My favorite saying lately is “Mind the business that pays you”. Girrrrllllll…
2. Reflect then Operate: Throughout my journey of really walking in my purpose Ive done a lot of reflecting. And most of that reflecting is within myself. Dig deep on why I feel the way I feel and how can I learn from it. Emotions don’t make money and it doesn’t drives purpose. Just think about; depression, sadness, anger today, tomorrow your happy and excited then later that day something upsets you and your back to square one. Takes those emotions and learn to understand why you feel the way you do. Once your honest with yourself about it, operate in your purpose not your feelings. Feelings is an emotional state or reaction, so they consistently change – sometimes positive, sometimes negative. However purpose is the reason for which something is done or created. You were not created to just sit and and be an emotional rollercoaster. You were created to operate in your purpose which is ever changing – maybe good or bad on some days but forever evolving and elevating.
3. Create Goals and Hustle: We often see certain people or look at having certain tangible things as goals and think of it as success. However, I am making even more so now a commitment to create goals that makes me happy not because of someone else happiness. I love to see people succeed and yes goals could be having a Ferrari but realistically for me thats not my goal. Its pretty and its not my goal. I find inspiration in other successful men and women, but I set goals that lines up with what my mission statement is for my life. What is my purpose? Even as if continues to evolves, I learn to research how that goal can be achieve and hustle my way to success!
I was introduced to this t-shirt line We Don’t Hate, We Hustle by a long time friend and I just had to have it. I think t-shirts are a cute, fashionable way to express yourself without saying a word! This shirt is an entire movement. Due to the fact that success for me is a like a forever relationship, I have learned not to compare my success to what someone else has. Even by what society believes is success. Take social media for example. It seems to be ideal to make women feel like they should look a certain way, feel a certain way and never make mistakes. Once I accepted me for me I don’t look for validation from others. What you see is what you get. What you think you know, keep thinking and assuming. Fortunately, Im a big girl, small waist, curvy with arms that I don’t like (working on that) but grateful that I can waive my hand. In knowing these things about myself, I accept all my flaws and work on them.
The hustle for purpose should never stop! Hate is real and there are many adversities that already against each of us in our own right. Who has time to hate on the next person. Motivate yourself to continue your journey to purpose. Learn to celebrate each others wins! I’m on a mission to successful fulfill my purpose. Walk in it sis! #HelloPurpose
